Due to active snowfall and temperatures remaining below freezing, we have made the prayerful decision to cancel church today.
Both pastors personally checked road conditions this morning and confirmed that, beyond the snow, there is significant black ice present, making travel especially dangerous. Black ice is one of the leading causes of winter slips, falls, and vehicle accidents. This is a serious concern, especially for our elderly members, those who walk into town, and anyone commuting into Colmar Manor.
Our desire is never to cancel gathering together, but we do not want anyone to risk being injured unnecessarily. Caring for one another sometimes means choosing wisdom and compassion. The church is not a building, and missing one Sunday for safety is not a failure of faith.
Please help spread the word by contacting one another so everyone is informed. Stay warm, stay safe, and take time to worship and pray at home.
