Pastor Kenny will walk the kids through the Bible teaching them how to have daily devotions and prayer time. This year they will read through the Action Bible and the Bible studies will focus on each book found in the Bible. In addition to memorizing the book’s title and theme, the preteens will learn the book’s outline.

The book of Nehemiah

In today’s podcast, the pastors will explore what happens when Jesus proclaims to Nazareth that He is the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy, and thus the Messiah. Will they submit to Jesus as the Messiah, or will they reject Him? This creates a dilemma of faith over Jesus’s identity. Ultimately, Nazareth’s rejection of the Messiah results in Him leaving their town.
 
As we uncover this theme of accepting Jesus’ identity, we’ll be asking ourselves important questions such as, “How do I respond when I am confronted by Jesus’ authoritative words? Do I submit in faith and become his subject or do I fight Him and the One who sent Him?” We’ll also examine the principle that a prophet has no honor in his own town, and consider whether we show honor and respect to those who minister to us in our local church. Join us as we delve into these important themes and seek to apply them to our everyday lives.
